This charmingly rustic resort has been around since the original Burgdorf couple first built a hotel at the 104 degree hot springs in the late 1800s. Although the town has grown since then, the hot springs, hotel and other original buildings are both still there, providing both a relaxing way to soothe yourself, historical sites to tour during the day and an enchanting place to spend a few nights. A swimming pool has also been added since the original hotel was established. Burgdorf's remote setting also provides many opportunities for wildlife viewing, especially now that a nearby meadow has been designated a calving ground for local herds of elk, ensuring that wildlife viewing will only improve in the future.
