Overview

The beautiful mountains and forests of west central Idaho near McCall have many natural hot springs tucked away. While some are formally run with set hours and a small fee, many are free but accessible only via a long hike during the warmer months, or snowmobile in the winter. This page lists several that are definitely worth exploring during your visit to McCall.

Gold Fork Hot Springs
This natural hot springs has several pools in a beautiful setting. The walkways are heated and there’s even a shallow pool for kids.

Zims Hot Springs
Zims’ soaking pool is kept at a soothing 103 to 106 degrees. There’s also an Olympic-size swimming pool to enjoy that’s slightly cooler at 90 to 100 degrees.

Burgdorf Hot Springs
You’ll need a snowmobile or skis to get to this hot springs during the winter, but the historical buildings and beautiful setting make it well worth it!

Silver Creek Plunge
The delightfully warm outdoor soaking pool at Silver Creek Plunge has spectacular views of the surrounding Boise National Forest. The hot springs is accessible only via snowmobile in the winter.

Buckhorn Hot Springs
Surrounded by alpine meadows and lush forest, you’ll need to hike 5 miles in to access this hot springs. You’ll find it’s well worth it, however, when you relax in the 105 to 115 degree mineral water.

Secesh Hot Springs
This natural hot springs has 3 rock pools with soft mineral water. You’ll have to hike in to this remote hot springs, but the tranquil setting is very relaxing.

White Licks Hot Springs
This natural hot springs is nestled in the Payette National Forest south of McCall just east of the northern end of Lake Cascade. It is made up of two bath houses with a concrete pool, providing a relaxing soak after a long hike.

Bernard Warm Springs
Not far from Cascade, the outdoor natural hot springs pool is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Very difficult to access in the winter due to road conditions.
